Two men are facing charges after they allegedly stole a woman’s wallet at Aventura Mall and went on a spending spree at an Apple store and Target, police said.

Orlando Julio Torres and Santiago Sabino Duron, both 55, were arrested Sunday on charges including grand theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, fraudulent use or possession of personal identification and criminal solicitation, arrest reports said.
According to the reports, the alleged victim said she had entered an elevator at the Macy’s store in the mall with two men who were later identified as Torres and Duron.
Surveillance video showed her purse was open as Duron distracted her while Torres concealed the purse under a jacket and removed her wallet, the reports said.

The victim said a short time later, she began receiving alerts from American Express that her credit card was used at the Apple store for a $3,400 transaction then at a Target for $962.
Additional transactions were made at other stores using her other credit cards, and $675 in cash was also in her wallet, the reports said.
Torres and Duron were later taken into custody during a traffic stop, and Duron gave a confession, the reports said.

Both men were booked into jail.
