A horse and donkey were killed in a fire that engulfed a barn in Jupiter, police said.

Police released chopper footage that showed the flames shooting high above the Southeast Ranch Acres Saturday night.
The homeowners reported being awoken by loud popping sounds coming from the barn but neither one of them was harmed, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputies said the fireball spread rapidly due to the contents in the barn, but the blaze was eventually contained by the firefighters.
Fire crews were able to stop the flames from spreading into the primary residency or any of the surrounding structures, police said.
