Victor Rodriguez Polledo was arrested Wednesday on an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charge, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, officers had responded to the 1900 block of Southwest 17th Street for a 911 call of a landlord assaulting a tenant with a machete.

The victim said he and Rodriguez Polledo had been arguing over some items that needed to be thrown out when Rodriguez Polledo suddenly said “What the f— are you looking at? You’ll see what I have for you” in Spanish, the report said.

A short time later, the victim said Rodriguez Polledo grabbed a machete and swung it at him, hitting him with the back of the blade in his shoulder/arm area, the report said.

Rodriguez Polledo swung the machete again and the victim blocked it with his hand but it caused a three inch-deep laceration on his wrist, the report said.

A physical struggle ensued and a witness who tried to take the machete was also cut.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by fire rescue crews.

The machete was later found in the back of the home with blood on it.
