Marlene Dany, 30, was arrested Sunday on charges including driving under the influence, exceeding the speed limit by 50 mph or more, knowingly driving with a suspended license, and excessive speeding, an arrest report said.

According to the report, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper was conducting traffic enforcement on the Turnpike in Miami-Dade when they spotted a grey Audi going southbound that was clocked at 131 mph in a 70 mph zone.

The trooper stopped the vehicle and as they approached “detected a pungent odor of an alcoholic beverage,” the report said.

When the trooper encountered Dany, she had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, slurred speech, and bloodshot, watery eyes, the report said.

It was also discovered Dany has a suspended driver’s license, the report said.

Dany told the trooper she had been drinking but agreed to perform road sobriety exercises but had difficulty completing them properly and was swaying while she was given some of the instructions, the report said.

She was arrested and taken to an FHP station, where she gave two breath samples that came back at .068 and .070, the report said.
