Naseline Timouche, 27, was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm and child neglect, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
According to an arrest report, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies had responded on Saturday for a welfare check and made contact with the girl, who had numerous scars and marks.
The girl said she’d been hit numerous times with a card, frying pan and a spatula, causing the injuries, adding that she has been woken up from her sleep by her mother to be struck with the items for no apparent reason, the report said.
She told investigators said she was frequently home alone for extended periods of time, to include overnight, and said Timouche struck her in the face with a charging cable for no apparent reason, the report said.

The girl also said she doesn’t get fed at home by her mother often and is not allowed to eat in her home because the food is for “guests,” and said she eats expired food or food from the trash, the report said.
A witness told investigators she met the girl a couple months ago and on numerous occasions allowed the girl to stay in her house and fed her due to her being left home alone, the report said.
“The defendant knowingly and willfully failed to provide her children with the care, supervision, and services necessary to maintain the child’s physical and mental health that a prudent person would consider essential for the well being of a child,” the report said.
Timouche was arrested and booked into jail. He remained held without bond Monday, records showed.
