It’s not too late to register for the Broward County Public Schools’ initiative that lets interested parents and students apply to switch schools for the upcoming academic year.

The program is called School Choice, and it provides families interested in new educational experiences the opportunity to apply to schools other than their home-boundary assigned school.

A second round of late applications are being accepted starting Monday, June 8 through July 16. (The open enrollment window was from November 3, 2025 to January 28, 2026.)

You may apply for a general re-assignment, magnet programs or Nova schools with available seats.

Families should know that if they’ve already submitted an application during the first cycle of the late application window, a new application will overwrite that earlier one. However, submitting an application during the late window won’t affect the status of an application submitted during open enrollment.
