A North Miami man is facing charges in an attempted armed kidnapping of a woman outside a Port St. Lucie church, police said.

Jose Tsu Zamora, 64, was arrested Sunday by the Port St. Lucie Police Department on charges including attempted kidnapping with a weapon, battery on an elderly person, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violating an aggravated stalking injunction, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, jail records showed.
The alleged incident happened outside First United Methodist Church on Southwest Prima Vista Boulevard.
According to a police incident report, the victim said she and Zamora had lived together in Hollywood but she moved up to Fort Pierce and he eventually moved in with her there.
She said Zamora “started getting aggressive with her” and she ended up getting an injunction against him in March, but he violated the injunction and a warrant was issued for his arrest, the report said.

The woman said when she arrived at church on Sunday and got out of her car, Zamora approached her wanted to talk and have her get in his vehicle, the report said.
She said she started walking away from him and he grabbed her and put a gun to her then started pulling her to his vehicle as others in the parking lot started to intervene.
Two other men confronted Zamora and he left, the report said.
Surveillance video captured part of the incident and showed Zamora put an object against her as he “started to pull her to his vehicle,” the report said.
Zamora was later arrested in Hialeah by Port St. Lucie Police and U.S. Marshals, WPTV reported.

Jail records showed he was being held on a $747,500 bond.
