Broward Animal Care, a shelter in Fort Lauderdale, has launched a campaign after announcing that it is facing overcapacity.

According to the shelter, they have 152 dogs, but 148 kennels.

To help, the shelter launched Code Home Activated, which urges the community to support them by adopting, fostering, and reuniting lost pets.

“Every kennel matters, and every member of our community can be part solution,” said Doug Brightwell, Director of Broward County Animal Care, in a statement. “Right now, we need Broward County’s help through adoption, fostering, and reunification efforts.”

As part of the campaign, adoption fees have been waived.
