A teen who was arrested after he was caught on camera assaulting a woman and exposing himself in Weston is being charged as an adult, records showed.

Anthony Gonzalez Tovar, 17, was charged with sexual assault/ sexual battery of a victim 12 years or older by a person less than 18 years old.
NBC6 is identifying Tovar since he is being charged as an adult.
During his court appearance on Wednesday, a judge set Tovar’s bond at $15,000.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. on April 8 near the 16500 block of Golf Club Road, officials said.
Surveillance video released by BSO showed the suspect exposing and pleasuring himself in an adjacent parking lot before he slowly approached the victim, removed his shoes and grabbed her from behind.

A struggle ensued before he eventually got up, put on his shoes and ran to a nearby scooter and fled the scene.
“I usually walk here inside the condo…I was sitting on the hill, like to rest and watch them play golf and suddenly someone jumped me from behind,” the woman said through a Spanish interpreter in a 911 call from the incident. “I turned over immediately and I defend myself.”
Tovar was then taken to the Juvenile Detention Center, officials said.
“Following the crime, BSO detectives launched an intensive and exhaustive investigation to identify and locate the suspect,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Using a combination of technological resources and old-fashioned police work, detectives were able to make this arrest.”
