An Indiana man faces stalking, harassment and intimidation charges for allegedly sending threatening and explicit messages to WNBA star Sophie Cunningham via social media, officials said.<\/p>\n

Kevin Singh, 48, was arrested Tuesday and charged Wednesday, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously,\u201d the statement read in part. \u201cComing forward is never easy, regardless of a person\u2019s position or public profile. The victim is setting an example by speaking out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Singh began harassing Cunningham, a guard for the Indiana Fever, in 2025, Mears said. His behavior escalated in February after a security team reached out to him about his conduct, Mears said.<\/p>\n

Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County following guilty pleas to two counts of invasion of privacy, both Level 6 felonies. Five additional felony charges \u2014 including a lead stalking charge and a habitual offender sentencing enhancement \u2014 were dismissed.<\/p>\n

This is the second time a man has been charged with stalking Fever players, officials said. In July 2025, Michael Lewis pleaded guilty to stalking and harassment and was sentenced to more than two years in prison.<\/p>\n

Cunningham, a former University of Missouri player, recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Fever \u2014 a deal she described as frustrating given its short duration. She is widely regarded as the team\u2019s enforcer for her physical playing style and willingness to confront opposing players.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in 2019 and played in the Southwest before being traded to the Fever in 2025. <\/p>\n

Cunningham has also become a polarizing figure off the court. Some fans have speculated about her political leanings, dubbing her \u201cMAGA Barbie.\u201d In a New York Times interview last year she pushed back on that characterization, describing herself as more centrist. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn our culture today you have to choose and you have to be an extremist, and that\u2019s just not me,\u201d Cunningham said. \u201cSo I agree with things on both sides; I disagree with things on both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cunningham was thrust into the spotlight again this year for reasons beyond basketball. She co-hosts a podcast called \u201cShow Me Something\u201d with West Wilson, a cast member on the Bravo reality series \u201cSummer House,\u201d who became embroiled in controversy in March after revealing he was in a relationship with co-star Amanda Batula \u2014 the estranged wife of another cast member and best friend of his former romantic partner.<\/p>\n

In April, Wilson told Cunningham on the podcast that there was \u201cno overlap\u201d between his relationship with Batula and her marriage. <\/p>\n

\u201cSummer House\u201d airs on Bravo, which is owned by the same parent company as NBC News.<\/p>\n
