Democrats on the U.S. House Oversight Committee and members in Florida are holding a field hearing in Palm Beach County on Tuesday as part of the Jeffrey Epstein Investigation.<\/p>\n

Californian Rep. Robert Garcia will lead the hearing, which will include testimony from survivors and witnesses who were important in the investigation.<\/p>\n

Following the hearing, representatives will be holding a press conference.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Kentucky, accused Democrats of manipulating these hearings ahead<\/p>\n

Epstein, 66, was arrested in July 2019 on multiple sex-trafficking charges from alleged incidents spanning from 2002 to 2005 related to the sexual abuse of girls as young as 14.<\/p>\n

He was then found dead by suicide in his jail cell that August \u2014 the result of what federal investigators concluded in 2023 was a cascade of misconduct, negligence and errors by staff at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.<\/p>\n
