Two South Florida men have been arrested amid an undercover operation targeting human trafficking in Miami-Dade ahead of the FIFA World Cup, records showed.<\/p>\n

Tomas Matom-Gallego, 23, and Mohamed Kazim Latiff, 51, both of Homestead, were arrested Tuesday on human trafficking and other charges, arrest reports said.<\/p>\n

According to the reports, the arrests are part of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force’s ongoing efforts to target human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in preparation for the upcoming World Cup.<\/p>\n

In Tuesday’s undercover operation, the task force was working with Homestead Police and posted an online advertisement with a number.<\/p>\n

Latiff and Matom-Gallego both contacted the number and were told juveniles were available for sexual services, the reports said.<\/p>\n

Latiff agreed to pay $300 for 30 minutes of sex with who he believed were juvenile females, while Matom-Gallego agreed to pay $150 for 30 minutes of sex with a female he believed to be a juvenile, the reports said.<\/p>\n

When both men arrived and met with an undercover officer to exchange payment, they were given a key card to a hotel room and when they entered they were taken into custody, the reports said.<\/p>\n
