New details were released on Monday after a suspect accused of fatally shooting a man in Miami Beach was arrested.<\/p>\n

Quayshawn West, 41, was charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, on Friday, officers arrived at the Sandbar Sport Bar at 6752 Collins Avenue, and were led by people to an alley, where they found a man lying on the ground and bleeding from a gunshot wound to the back of his head.<\/p>\n

An arrest report said the fire rescue crews took the man to the hospital in critical condition. He was then pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

During their investigation, witnesses gave officers a possible description of the suspect, who was seen fleeing the area, the report said. A perimeter was then established, and detectives found a hat with apparent blood stains that was near a puddle of blood, and a spent casing was found near the hat, as well as a second casing that was found.<\/p>\n

Witnesses told detectives that the victim and West were at the sports bar when they got into a fight, the report said. They said that employees tried to de-escalate the situation and told West to leave from the back of the sports bar and told the victim to leave from the front.<\/p>\n

After they left, the report said, witnesses said they heard gunshots, and when they went to check, they found the victim lying on the ground and bleeding from his head in the alley.<\/p>\n

A friend of the victim told detectives that he was with him at the sports bar, left him to get food, and then heard gunshots when he was heading back, the report said. He said he saw a man running out of the side alley.<\/p>\n

Detectives, the report said, were told that West was a regular at the sports bar and were able to review surveillance video that shows West and the victim fighting and being separated.<\/p>\n

West and the victim were then seen at the patio area outside the bar, and the victim entered the back patio from a door in the alley, and a gunshot was heard, the report said. The victim then ran back toward the patio door, and West started chasing him and shot him in the back of the head.<\/p>\n

The victim, the report said, immediately falls to the ground and is seen lying lifelessly in the alley. West was seen fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n

After a perimeter was established, detectives found a dark shirt and a dark hat in a dumpster that matched what West was wearing when he was in the bar. His sandals were also found.<\/p>\n

West was eventually found, and he was detained, the report said.<\/p>\n

After the victim died, detectives reviewed his injuries and determined that there was probable cause to arrest West.<\/p>\n
