A second woman accused of running an unlicensed assisted living facility in Miami-Dade County was arrested on Tuesday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Kerri Smith, 38, is facing several charges, including organized fraud, operating an assisted living facility without a license and illegal disposal of hazardous waste.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, an investigation was launched on March 17 at a home in Miami-Dade that was reportedly operating as an unlicensed post-cosmetic surgery assisted living facility.<\/p>\n

An arrest report said a search was then conducted at the home, and there were eight patients and two employees there.<\/p>\n

When the patients were interviewed, they told detectives that they were receiving services such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene and medication, the report said.<\/p>\n

Smith, the report said, is the face of the business on Instagram, while Crystal White was listed as the business’ director.<\/p>\n

White was previously arrested on April 8, and records showed that both White and Smith White were also arrested in two separate incidents in 2023 for operating two unlicensed post-cosmetic surgery assisted-living facilities.<\/p>\n

One of the employees told authorities they were paid $500 per week in cash by Smith, while another employee was paid $45 per trip for either picking up a patient or getting their medication, the report said.<\/p>\n

Records showed that the home was not licensed in Florida to operate as an assisted living facility.<\/p>\n

It was also revealed that White and Smith received over $200,000 since October 2025, the report said.<\/p>\n

Following White’s arrest, the report said, authorities received several calls and emails about past patients, with one saying she booked for post-op recovery care with Smith and had to stay at a home with 11 other women.<\/p>\n

During her stay at the home, the woman said she had to urinate in a cup because the house was over capacity, the report said. She also said there was a rodent and insect problem at the home.<\/p>\n

When authorities contacted Smith’s attorney regarding her surrender, the report said, they were told that Smith was upset because White was arrested.<\/p>\n

An anonymous tip then notified authorities on Tuesday that Smith was taking care of patients at 16010 SW 151st Terrace, and she was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
