{"id":1253,"date":"2026-06-03T15:36:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T15:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jacksonvillemovingnews.com\/?p=1253"},"modified":"2026-06-03T15:36:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T15:36:21","slug":"miami-dade-teacher-accused-of-sexual-relationship-with-girl-17-given-house-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jacksonvillemovingnews.com\/?p=1253","title":{"rendered":"Miami-Dade teacher accused of sexual relationship with girl, 17, given house arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A teacher at a South Florida high school accused of engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student was granted house arrest on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/jacksonvillemovingnews.com\/?p=1251\">New Zealand World Cup player finds social media fame after being touted by soccer influencer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Michael Enriquez, 53, is facing charges including unlawful sexual activity with a specified minor, lewd and lascivious touching, and offenses against students by authority figures.<\/p>\n<p>During his court appearance, Enriquez&#8217;s attorneys agreed on a bond, and he was given house arrest.  <\/p>\n<p>Enriquez is listed as a science teacher at American Senior High School on the school\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/jacksonvillemovingnews.com\/?p=1249\">Bus driver arrested after boy, 6, fell asleep during ride, was found wandering, cops say<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the sheriff&#8217;s office, Enriquez began having conversations with a 17-year-old female student last year, and those conversations turned into sexual acts.<\/p>\n<p>He continued the sexual relationship with the student until May 2026, after the student had turned 18, authorities said. <\/p>\n<p>Enriquez&#8217;s arraignment is scheduled for July 1. <\/p>\n<p>Students on Tuesday reacted to Enriquez&#8217;s arrest. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities are concerned that there could be more victims.
