An investigation is underway in Lauderhill after a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday, police said.

According to Lauderhill Police, officers arrived at the 1300 block of North State Road 7 after receiving reports of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

At the scene, officers found a man who was suffering from several injuries, and he was taken to the hospital.
Police said the man is in critical but stable condition.
The driver who allegedly hit the pedestrian fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
