As a result of the operation, Santiago Lujan, 25, was charged with MDMA trafficking and controlled substance sales; Matias Serrano, 29, was taken into Drug Enforcement Agency custody; Cesar Suppa, 30, was charged with drug trafficking, and Jhon Ramirez, 39, is facing charges for the sale of cocaine and MDMA.

According to Miami Beach Police, in 2025, detectives infiltrated a WhatsApp group that would advertise and sell wholesale quantities of narcotics.

Detectives said that evidence obtained from that investigation exposed a larger distribution network that was operating throughout Miami-Dade County.

Dubbed “Operation Pink Panther,” in April 2026, detectives identified another WhatsApp account that had a Pink Panther logo.

Investigators said that the Pink Panther logo is associated with the sale of a narcotic called 2C-B, also known as “pink cocaine.”

Throughout the operation, undercover detectives were able to navigate the network’s vetting process and started controlled purchased of cocaine and MDMA.

From those controlled purchases, detectives were able to identify several subjects, and they were able to trace the network’s suspected sources of supply.

With the help of the DEA, Suppa was linked to a residence in Miami Beach, where detectives observed narcotics being retrieved before undercover sales.

Months after Operation Pink Panther started, on Sept. 15, a search warrant was executed by Miami Beach Police SWAT at the Miami Beach residence, and Suppa was arrested.

While that search, was being conducted, Lujan, Ramirez and Serrano were arrested in Miami.

Detectives said that Serrano had a backpack with $44,800.

The following was recovered during Operation Pink Panther.

  • 1 kilogram of cocaine
  • 1.16 pounds of MDMA/2C-B
  • 1.14 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 71.32 pounds of fresh cannabis/hashish
  • 24 grams of ketamine
  • 2 grams of LSD
  • 4 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • $49,557 in U.S. currency
  • BMW X5

“Operation Pink Panther demonstrates the value of proactive, intelligence-driven policing and the exceptional work of our detectives.” said Chief Wayne Jones, in a statment. “This investigation dismantled a sophisticated network responsible for moving significant quantities of dangerous drugs throughout our community. We will continue following the evidence, working alongside our local and federal partners, and holding those who profit from illegal narcotics accountable.”
