Video shows the damage at the scene on North Ocean Drive and Hollywood Boulevard. A smashed police SUV with its airbags deployed is surrounded by broken glass and stopped near a downed palm tree. Nearby, a red sedan with front- and rear-end damage also has its airbags deployed and doors open.

Police have not confirmed the condition of the officer or driver behind the wheel of the other vehicle.
