Gineth Ramirez, 35, was arrested Thursday on a charge of aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
According to an arrest report, on Wednesday, the child was at school when she alleged her mother burns her because of her behavior.
A child protective investigator met with the girl, who said she was burned on her arm and legs by her mother for misbehaving and said she also makes her sit in a chair then ties her hands to the back with a rope or handcuffs, the report said.
The investigator noted three abrasions on the girl that appeared to be first-degree burn marks, including one on her forearm, one on her shin and one on the inside of her upper right thigh, the report said.

Ramirez later told investigators the two had been in the kitchen cooking flan and some fell on the girl’s leg, but she said she didn’t know how her daughter suffered the other two injuries, the report said.
She admitted she disciplines the girl by making her sit on a chair and face the wall when she misbehaves but said she had never tied her hands, the report said.
Ramirez was arrested and booked into jail and on Friday appeared before a judge who appointed her a public defender but denied her bond.
