The first area is in the vicinity of Bermuda, moving generally north. Development chances are hovering around 50% on Monday, with a chance for a short-lived system to develop, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.

Far removed from the U.S. coastline, this area is interesting to watch but of no concern.

Perhaps the more noteworthy feature is a wave that will eject off the coast of Africa Monday night, moving into an environment that could support development.

Models are varied in their solutions for where the system goes, but it seems reasonable that development will take shape. Given the amount of time and model spread, it is too soon to even speculate about what the coming 5–7 days will yield in terms of track and maturity.
