Matthew Holloway surrendered himself to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Monticello, Florida, on Aug. 2, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said Wednesday.
Holloway was being sought in connection with the shooting that happened around 1 a.m. on May 8 near the 7900 block of Southwest 7th Court.
Deputies had responded and found 19-year-old O’Mari Doe inside a 2020 Ford Mustang suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and 20-year-old Maurice Vorroto outside the vehicle suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Both were hospitalized but Doe didn’t survive.
Investigators said Doe, Vorroto, and two other victims were sitting inside the Mustang when a group of suspects arrived and opened fire on the car before fleeing in a vehicle.

The vehicle was later spotted and a pursuit ensued before the suspects bailed out in the 900 block of Southwest 13th Street in Fort Lauderdale, authorities said.
Four of the suspects – Aamir Adams and Anthony Adams, both 19, and two juveniles – were found and taken into custody, officials said.
Investigators later identified Holloway as the fifth suspect involved in the shooting, authorities said.
Holloway was expected to be extradited to Broward to face first-degree murder and attempted murder charges in the shooting.
