Tevin Dean, 31, was arrested Tuesday on a dozen charges including armed home invasion, armed kidnapping, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, using or displaying a firearm during a felony, grand theft, and fraud, an arrest warrant said.
According to the warrant, Dean was armed when he and a second suspect entered the victim’s apartment to rob him earlier in June.
Dean repeatedly pointed the gun at the victim and threatened to kill him if he didn’t strip naked, the warrant said.
Once the victim stripped completely naked, he was restrained with duct tape and had his eyes covered with duct tape before Dean dragged him down a hallway, the warrant said.
At one point, Dean held a kitchen knife against the back of the victim’s head and threatened to kill him if he didn’t unlock his phone, the warrant said.
The victim was forced to provide passwords to his Coinbase account before the suspects sold cryptocurrency belonging to the victim, then transferred proceeds to the other suspect’s son, the warrant said.

In total, Dean and the other suspect stole more than $27,000 worth of personal property and digital currency from the victim, the warrant said.
The suspect fled and left the man restrained, and it took him almost a half hour to get free.
They also took the victim’s phones and deleted 7 video clips from his Ring account that showed them coordinating the robbery, the warrant said.
The second suspect factory reset the victim’s phones and pawned them, the warrant said.
Dean was booked into jail and was being held without bond, records showed. Attorney information wasn’t available.
The second suspect wasn’t listed in jail records and it’s unknown whether they’ve been arrested or what charges they may face.
