Three former Miami Hurricanes were selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft on Thursday.

The New York Giants used their second selection of the first round to draft offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa with the No. 10 pick.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. at No. 15.

And the Los Angeles Chargers picked edge/linebacker Akheem Mesidor after trading a few spots back with Philadelphia to pick at No. 22.

Former Canes Keionte Scott, Markel Bell, Carson Beck, Wesley Bissainthe, Anez Cooper, Jakobe Thomas and CJ Daniels are expected to be drafted on Friday or Saturday.

Meanwhile, Heisman trophy winner and Miami native Fernando Mendoza was drafted into the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday as the No. 1 pick.
