An elderly woman was killed in a crash involving four vehicles in North Miami Beach on Friday, authorities said.

Police said it happened in the 3300 block of Northeast 163rd Street.
The crash left a person trapped in one of the vehicles, but Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they were able to “safely extricate” them.
Three people were rushed to the hospital with traumatic injuries, and two others were taken with minor injuries. Another two people were treated at the scene.
Among the victims was the elderly woman, who died at the hospital, police said. Her name was not immediately provided.

Video of the scene showed mangled cars at the scene, including one with head-on damage and another with shattered windows, airbags deployed and doors torn off.
The westbound Sunny Isles Boulevard bridge was closed, and all westbound traffic was being diverted. Drivers were advised to seek an alternate route and expect delays.
