The alleged break in happened June 30 at a home on Northwest 32nd Avenue.
According to an arrest report, a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy responded and met the victim, who said someone broke into her home and ransacked it, stealing about $33,000 in cash, two TVs and a gold necklace with a pendant.
Part of the burglary was captured by surveillance camera and showed two males at the home.

Detectives discovered they had used a pickup truck with specific markings and insignias, and found that Nieves had an identical vehicle registered under his name, the report said.
In addition, Nieves had conducted a pawn shop transaction that was caught on camera shortly before the burglary and showed him wearing the same clothing as in the burglary surveillance, the report said.
Nieves was taken into custody during a traffic stop and booked into jail.
He appeared before a judge on Tuesday where it was learned he was out on probation for four separate cases. He was ordered held without bond.
