A Miami fitness influencer has pleaded guilty in a 2024 gym beating that left another man with a fractured face.

Wes Watson, 42, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated battery in the Dec. 29, 2024 incident as part of a plea deal.

Under the deal, Watson would be sentenced to 21 months in prison followed by 7 years of probation, with credit for time served.

Sentencing was held of until later this month since Watson’s attorney are planning to meet with state attorneys again to try and get a shorter prison sentence.

Watson was arrested on Feb. 6, 2025, about two months after the incident that happened at a gym on N. Miami Avenue, An arrest report said.

According to the report, Watson said he was working out when he was approached by another man and the two began arguing and fighting.

The victim told police he had gone to the gym to confront Watson before he was hit with a weight belt and assaulted by multiple people, the report said.

Surveillance footage showed the victim set up his phone to record the interaction before he pushed Watson, who took off weight belt and hit the victim with it multiple times, the report said.

Watson and other men hit and kicked the victim several times as he was on the ground, and Watson continued to punch and kick the victim until an employee intervened, the report said.

The victim suffered a face fracture, a concussion and two black eyes.
