A father and his daughter were taken to the hospital on Saturday after they were caught in the crossfire during a shooting at a McDonald’s in Hallandale Beach, police said.

According to Hallandale Beach Police, it appeared that one suspect was waiting at the McDonald’s to ambush their target.

Police said that gunfire was then exchanged.

The father and his daughter were inside their car while they waited for their food, while the mother was inside.

The two were taken to the a nearby hospital in stable condition, and the child needs surgery.

Police said that a McDonald’s employee was possibly involved in the shooting.

No arrests were made.
