A man was killed in a crash that shut down all southbound lanes of the Don Shula Expressway (State Road 874) on Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at around 1:08 a.m., when a white Mercedes Coupe was traveling south on the highway near Southwest 104th Street.
The Mercedes collided into a freight truck, FHP said. The driver of the Mercedes, a man, died at the scene from his injuries.

The southbound lanes were closed for approximately three hours during the preliminary investigation starting at Killian Parkway until Florida’s Turnpike.
