Investigators were seen examining a house in North Lauderdale after neighbors watched rescuers trying to save the lives of those who were inside.
Ring Camera footage captured a woman’s desperate pleas for help,
“Neighbor came down, and she just banged on the door and said, ‘Yeah, we need help, we need help,'” said Terry Gervais. “She was pretty frantic.”
Gervais and his family jumped into action just before 5.15 a.m. as they tried to put out the fire next door with a water hose.
Across the street, a neighbor’s camera captured the intensity of the flames lighting up the dark at Southwest Eighth Court off North Lauderdale Avenue.

“They were really big, those flames were past the ceiling,” Gervais said.
He told NBC6 that the fire was too big for him to try to reach anyone inside the house.
Gervais watched rescuers perform CPR on two people pulled from the home.
“I saw one of them,” he said. “They was doing chest compressions while they were rolling her out to the ambulance.”
The fire forced at least one family to evacuate behind the burning home.
By daylight, investigators were still working to find out how those flames started.
NBC6 spoke with a father who lives just on the other side of this house, who had to evacuate with his children.
