A fire early Tuesday morning forced residents out of their homes in Pompano Beach.

The flames broke out at around 4 a.m. at a multi-family unit in the area of Northwest 5th Street and Northwest 4th Avenue, east of Interstate 95.
One woman said the structure was a one-story apartment complex with four units. She said all occupants were able to evacuate, but authorities have not confirmed whether there were any injuries.
