A man has been arrested in Georgia in the fatal shooting of another man in the parking lot of a Plantation hotel back in January, police said.

Julius Alfred Williams, 19, was arrested in Cobb County, Georgia, and extradited back to Broward County to face charges of premeditated murder and robbery with a firearm, Plantation Police officials said Wednesday.

Officers had responded to the shooting at the Hampton Inn at 7801 Southwest 6th Street the night of Jan. 24.

When they arrived, the officers found the 33-year-old man dead in the parking lot from multiple gunshot wounds. His identity hasn’t been released.

Police said the investigation led them to the arrest of Williams.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police at 954-797-2100.
