Two South Florida men have been arrested amid an undercover operation targeting human trafficking in Miami-Dade ahead of the FIFA World Cup, records showed.

Tomas Matom-Gallego, 23, and Mohamed Kazim Latiff, 51, both of Homestead, were arrested Tuesday on human trafficking and other charges, arrest reports said.
According to the reports, the arrests are part of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force’s ongoing efforts to target human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in preparation for the upcoming World Cup.
In Tuesday’s undercover operation, the task force was working with Homestead Police and posted an online advertisement with a number.

Latiff and Matom-Gallego both contacted the number and were told juveniles were available for sexual services, the reports said.
Latiff agreed to pay $300 for 30 minutes of sex with who he believed were juvenile females, while Matom-Gallego agreed to pay $150 for 30 minutes of sex with a female he believed to be a juvenile, the reports said.
When both men arrived and met with an undercover officer to exchange payment, they were given a key card to a hotel room and when they entered they were taken into custody, the reports said.

They were both later booked into jail.
