According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy had stopped the vehicle for speeding and it was found that the driver, 36-year-old Zolton Otto Ganoczi, had a suspended license from New York state as well as Florida.

Ganoczi was found to be profusely sweating, with rapid speech, a stutter, and dilated pupils, the sheriff’s office said.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, deputies found a clear baggie on the driver’s side door containing suspected methamphetamine, and Ganoczi admitting to using the meth earlier in the day as well as consuming psilocybin mushroom gummies, authorities said.

But when deputies searched the trunk, they made a more surprising discovery: 31,000 pills concealed inside mail-style envelopes hidden in a container, officials said.

The pills included substances marketed as Ambien, Rivotril, Lunata, and other drugs associated with diazepam, clonazepam (Klonopin), and alprazolam (Xanax).

Ganoczi initially claimed he was from New York and told deputies he was “just doing his job” making deliveries, and later admitted he had already completed several delivery stops and was heading to additional drop-offs at the time of his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies seized the vehicle and all the drugs inside.

Ganoczi faces charges including multiple counts of possession with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, DUI, unlawful speed and driving with a license suspended.

It was also learned Ganoczi was in the country illegally from Hungary, and he now has an ICE detainer, officials said.
