A Coral Springs man was arrested after he stole over $50,000 from a couple in the Florida Keys, authorities said.

Dwayne Leveridge, 33, was arrested Saturday on charges including fraud, larceny, illegal use of credit cards, and illegal use of another’s identification, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
The victims, a couple from Cudjoe Key, had notified the sheriff’s office in April of fraudulent banking activity.

Detectives uncovered an illegal line of credit, fraudulent charges and unlawful wire transfers were opened in the victims’ names, leading to the loss of over $50,000, authorities said.
How the fraud and theft occurred remains pert of the ongoing investigation.
Leveridge was booked into Monroe County’s jail on Sunday after his arrest in Broward.
