One person was taken to the hospital on Sunday after a car crashed into a home in Richmond Heights, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at around 7 a.m., along Monroe Street near Douglas Drive.
Deputies said two vehicles crashed, and the impact caused one of them to go through the gate of a home.

NBC6 spoke to one neighbor, who said people drive recklessly in the area.
“People drive very erratic. I would say volatile,” she said. “I feel like some people need to get their driver’s license renewed again.”

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
