Three suspected drug smugglers were taken into custody after a boat loaded with around $6.7 million in cocaine was found off Cape Florida, U.S. Coast Guard officials said Friday.

The vessel was seized on Sunday about a mile east of Cape Florida by a U.S. Coast Guard Station Miami Beach boat crew, Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations and CBP Office of Field Operations officers.
On board authorities found about 900 pounds of cocaine, officials said.
Federal agents from the DEA’s Miami Division took custody of the cocaine and the three suspected smugglers.
